Owen is currently working on his senior thesis project that looks at the Mettray Penal Colony — a nineteenth-century institution that relocated young offenders to a rural landscape under its project of moral rehabilitation — to think about how nature was bound up in the emergence of the modern carceral process.

Eli makes films and plays, writes literary fiction and non-fiction, and currently works as the features editor of the Harvard Advocate. This year, he's writing a creative thesis reflecting on the differences between cinema and literature as artistic mediums.
