Religion
I am Steve Rizzo, the Writing Fellow for The Committee on the Study of Religion for 2025-2026! I am a former professional copy editor and a current PhD candidate in the subfield of Philosophy of Religion. My dissertation focuses on Latin American decolonial thought as it intersects with Christian theology and history through the specific focus on the Argentinian philosopher Enrique Dussel.
I have extensive teaching experience from everything from GenEd to Divinity School seminars, and I have taught everything from classes on Science Fiction to the Protestant Reformation. I have also spent the last two years helping Divinity School students write their Masters theses.
I am especially equipped to assist Junior Tutorial papers or Senior theses, but I am happy help you explore class projects of any kind — and at any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming to proofreading.
To schedule a meeting, please sign up for a 30-minute consultation slot through the Harvard Writing Center Scheduler. If you have questions, please contact me at srizzo@g.harvard.edu.
I am excited to read your writing and support your ideas!
